Budget at a Glance
The University of Kentucky's FY 2026-27 consolidated operating budget reflects the continued growth, complexity and impact of Kentucky's largest land-grant institution. At $9.6 billion, the budget represents an increase of nearly $1.0 billion, or 11.6 percent, over the prior year. Over the past decade, UK's budget has more than tripled, reflecting strategic growth across the academic enterprise, UK HealthCare, research, public service and athletics.
State and Student Support
Kentucky's Performance Funding Model continues to reward outcomes aligned with statewide workforce and educational attainment goals. For FY 2026-27, UK's performance funding allocation increased by approximately $3.1 million, reaching $44.3 million.
